Conflict in the Middle East, Rama: The main priority is the safety of Albanians there

The safety of Albanian citizens in the Middle East is our top priority, following the ongoing conflict there, said Prime Minister Edi Rama in his weekly podcast. According to Rama, “our diplomatic missions and consulates in the region are in constant contact with us and with local authorities, doing everything to monitor the situation, inform and assist. Meanwhile, the key issue of flights remains a challenge for everyone.”
Rama dismissed what he described as fake and irresponsible news about the alleged possibility of an attack on Albania.
"Of course, like everyone else, we are also affected in a fortunately, not physical sense, but definitely politically, spiritually, humanly by the recent developments in the Middle East and by the escalation of the security situation in a region where we have extraordinary friends and where we are proudly one of the few countries that have a strong friendship, both with Israel and with the countries of the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia, the United Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, which have been in the range of aggression of Tehran's killers. The situation remains complicated, it is difficult to foresee the end of an offensive launched with full right by the United States of America in close alliance with Israel to stop once and for all the possibility that the obscurantist regime of the Khomeiniist Republic of Iran will produce the atomic bomb.
At this moment, of course, for us, as for many other countries, the main priority is the safety of Albanian citizens who are in those countries. Our diplomatic missions and consulates in the region are in constant contact with us and with local authorities, doing everything they can to monitor the situation, inform and assist. Meanwhile, the key issue of flights remains a challenge for everyone.
This is a situation that requires calm, caution, and constant information from official sources. While we stand in solidarity with all the countries affected, including, without question, Cyprus, a friendly country, which was also hit, and Greece in a strong sign of solidarity for what is happening in Cyprus, as well as Turkey at the same time, which was also attempted to be hit by a missile that was immediately neutralized by NATO forces.
As for Albania, there have been all kinds of rumors and speculations, and the interesting thing is that, unlike other countries in Albania, we have the greatest evil within us and the greatest source of disinformation, lies, and distortion of information. Unlike others, we don't have to look elsewhere, because we have it here.
And from here, a series of news about the alleged possibility of an attack on Albania has been produced in the most criminal and irresponsible way. But, I remind everyone that Albania is a member of NATO and as NATO clearly demonstrated in Turkey, where it immediately shot down a missile coming from Iran, which was then very well underlined by the American general of the NATO command, clearly, this speed of reaction and this reaction capacity applies to all NATO member countries, with all the regret for the evil, which certainly has no problem at all, if it were given the opportunity to try an attack on Albania, just to feed the vain hope and, as the tyrants say, "the dream in the meringue", that the so-called "regime of Edi Rama" will be overthrown.
