Supervisory Council: Holta Zaçaj, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania

From the Constitutional Court to the Bank of Albania. The Supervisory Council of the BoA has decided that Holta Zaçaj will be the First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania. This selection is announced in a statement issued today by the Central Bank. “At the meeting of April 1, 2026, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania considered and decided: Appointment of the First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania. In accordance with Article 44 of Law 8269/1997 "On the Bank of Albania", as amended, upon the proposal of the Governor, the Supervisory Council elected and appointed Ms. Holta Zaçaj to the position of First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania,” the statement reads.
Until now, the position of First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania was held by Ms. Luljeta Minxhozi, while Ms. Natasha Ahmetaj continues to hold the position of Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania.
