Applications open for the national agricultural scheme - Fund dedicated to 12 support measures, 5.2 billion lekë
Applications for the National Agriculture Scheme 2026, which provides for a fund of 5.2 billion lek, which will be translated into 12 measures and investments, were opened this Monday. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla also gave the first figures for applications.
"Before I came here I got a number and so far there are 5,000 farmers who are online applying. In a very short time there is a lot of interest."
Meanwhile, Minister Salla also communicated the first 26 models in the form of agricultural cooperative societies.
"Together with the total number that we are working on, there are 58 joint SHBBs, where privately, but also in what we are working on with the municipalities, there are a total of 84 others. So, the part that we have through SHBBs, the first 26 models in the way of cooperation that we are carrying out with the municipalities, there are now 58 others, which are privately, that currently and in the meantime in the following years have collaborated, and in total there are 84 SHBBs or private and state cooperation models throughout the country. These models include different sectors and different areas in the territory of Albania, where I want to mention fruits and vegetables in Dibër, Fier, Divjakë, Lezhë and Cërrik; olives and olive oil in Berat, Elbasan, Lushnje and Vlorë; medicinal and aromatic plants in Malesë e Madhe and in Belsh; onions and seeds in Shkodër; potatoes in Kukës; cereals in Durrës and walnuts in Kolonjë."
According to Minister Salla, cooperation between municipalities, farmers and the ministry is essential, as the ministry provides political guidance, technical support and links to national and international funding schemes.
Municipalities bring knowledge of the territory, direct contact with farmers, while the latter bring work, experience, product, and the will to build a stronger agriculture.
