Google Maps updates Albania - From Tirana to the Blue Eye, Albanian destinations on Google Street View

Google has completed a major update to Street View imagery in Albania, bringing new, high-resolution views of cities, roads, tourist destinations, and natural areas in the country.
The update is part of a regional initiative that also includes Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. In these countries, Google Street View vehicles have traveled over 103,000 kilometers to collect new imagery, expand coverage and improve the quality of information on Google Maps.
Street View allows users to virtually explore different places through 360-degree panoramic views. This service helps with orientation, trip planning, and discovering new destinations before physically visiting them.
In Albania, the update includes major urban centers such as Tirana, Durrës and Vlora, as well as important tourist and cultural attractions. Users can virtually explore the streets and squares of the capital, the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, the city of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Blue Eye, one of the country's most famous natural monuments.
The update is expected to have a positive impact on the tourism sector, helping domestic and international visitors better plan their trips and familiarize themselves with destinations in advance. Benefits are also expected for local businesses, which will have a more accurate and up-to-date representation on Google Maps.
At a time when Albania is experiencing a surge in tourism, digital tools are becoming increasingly important for promoting destinations. Google emphasizes that, to protect privacy, faces and license plates are automatically blurred before publishing images.
