The Director General of Customs introduces the new head of the Tirana Customs Branch

The Director General of Customs, Besmir Beja, presented today to the staff of the Tirana Customs Administration, the new head of this branch, Erjon Riçku, who takes office following the three-year leadership of Ermal Shema at one of the most important points of the Customs Administration in the country.
In his speech, the Director General thanked Shema for his commitment and leadership so far, appreciating his contribution and cooperation during this period. Introducing the new head, Beja emphasized that Erjon Riçku comes from a long and successful experience in state administration, which constitutes an added value for the leadership of the Tirana Customs Branch.
He underlined that the structure he will lead faces significant challenges and the need to further improve many aspects of its work. The Director General emphasized that law enforcement should be the guiding principle of every activity, while the objectives and work plan should be oriented towards increasing efficiency, transparency and quality of service.
The focus, he added, should be on building a model service to business, where care for citizens and economic operators, professional behavior and ethics in communication are daily work standards.
"Tirana Customs is the face of the customs administration. The way it functions and behaves with business and citizens directly reflects the image of our institution," emphasized Beja, demanding maximum commitment from all staff to meet the set objectives.
