4.3 million property cards are digitized - Property cadastre is finalized,

4.3 million property cards of Albanian citizens, throughout the country, have been completely digitized, putting an end to disputes over ownership in cases where it results in the proper documentation, overlapping on maps, and problems with physical files.

The State Cadastre Agency has completed the digitalization process, achieving one of the objectives set in the National Reform Agenda within the framework of Albania's integration process into the European Union.

Currently, all property records are administered in electronic format and are fully integrated into the cadastral system, marking a significant transformation in the way property data is administered.

The digitalization of property cards will now facilitate work processes at the State Cadastre Agency (ASHK), enabling faster processing of applications, reducing manual procedures, increasing administrative efficiency, and expanding opportunities for providing automated services to citizens and businesses.

Every request for a property card is now processed directly in the electronic system by ASHK specialists, without the need to consult physical records. This significantly reduces the time for reviewing applications and minimizes the risk of errors during data processing.

At the same time, every registration or transaction on property is immediately reflected in the electronic cadastral register, guaranteeing transparency, traceability and higher legal certainty for property rights.

The completion of the digitalization of property cards constitutes an important step in the modernization of cadastral administration as well as in attracting foreign investments and facilitating real estate transactions.

On the other hand, the application of the new property tax is significantly facilitated.

The goal of this process was, among other things, to reduce delays in cadastral services, increase efficiency, and provide services by the Cadastral Agency, while taking measures against corruption and bribery.
