Deliberate damage to Milot Bridge, ARRSH: Traffic continues normally
Just a few days after it was reconstructed and opened to traffic, the Milot Bridge has fallen prey to thieves who attempted to rob the metal side joints of the bridge. The ARRSH statement states that the case has been referred to the Police and that after the repair, traffic on the Bridge is continuing normally. The ARRSH statement states:
"The Albanian Road Authority was notified this morning by the maintenance contractor company regarding intentional damage to the Milot Bridge and immediately sent its engineers to the field to verify the situation.
Verifications show that the metal joints of the bridge were damaged as a result of an attempted robbery during the night.
This act was immediately referred to the Lezha Local Police Directorate, as it constitutes not only damage to public property, but also a direct risk to the safety of vehicles circulating on this road axis.
Currently, the damage has been repaired by maintenance teams and traffic on the Milot Bridge continues normally.
